In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Anand Gokani

Dr Anand Gokani, a renowned Indian physician, has made significant contributions to the field of diabetes and endocrinology. With a deep passion for his specialty, he has conducted numerous lectures, seminars and workshops on diabetes and lifestyle management. His dedication to the medical field is visible from his association with the Bombay Hospital & Medical Research Centre for a remarkable 36 years! Beyond his clinic, Dr Gokani has also been instrumental in fostering personal and professional development through residential camps focused on socially useful and productive work, leadership, ethical practices, and more. Dr Gokani’s dedication is a true inspiration for all medical professionals!

Anupriya Acharya

Anupriya Acharya, Chief Executive Officer of Publicis Groupe South Asia, commands nearly three decades of excellence in media and advertising across India and Southeast Asia. A seasoned leader with 18 years in CXO roles across leading organisations, she excels in creating client-centric structures and capabilities that foster innovation and growth. In her current role as the CEO of Publicis Groupe South Asia, she oversees a task force of 6000 professionals and steers all Publicis Groupe’s agencies in South Asia, presiding over creative, media, technology, and PR including powerhouses like Leo Burnett, MSL, Starcom, Zenith and Digitas. As an active industry influencer, Anupriya holds positions on the boards of BARC, AAAI, MRUC, MMA, ASCI, and the DB Corp Board. A two-term President of the AAAI, the apex trade body for advertising agencies in India, her influence extends as a Jury lead to major global and domestic industry awards too. She has been recognised in Fortune Magazine’s Most Powerful Women in Business List for three consecutive years, as well as in the Forbes’ W-Power Trailblazer. An alumnus of IIT Roorkee, she is a fitness enthusiast and a regular at high altitude adventure trips.

Avantika Ahuja

Avantika Ahuja, a DAIS alumnus of 2012 and a graduate of New York University is currently the Vice President of Marketing and Brand Communications at the well-known CocoCart and Cafe, a family founded venture she helped start and establish. Passionate about chocolate, she brought “Rhine Valley” to life, CocoCart’s second best-selling product and chocolate brand, alongside her spouse. She has shared insights on branding and product development at various forums such as The Fireside Chat with the Ladies Who Lead community, a women’s networking forum, where she explains how branding, packaging, and product development can affect your product. She has also been part of a panel discussion by the LWL forum, where she shared insights together with Pooja Dhingra of the Le15 macaron fame and Annie Bafna, co-founder of the Nutcracker.

Cawas Billimoria

Cawas Billimoria is an Indian judoka who represented India at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Known for his dedication to the sport despite significant challenges, Billimoria's career highlights the difficulties faced by athletes in less popular sports in India. Competing in judo, a sport with limited infrastructure and support in the country, he overcame numerous obstacles, including inadequate funding, lack of recognition, and limited training resources. His participation in the Olympics was a milestone for Indian judo, making him a role model for aspiring judokas and highlighting the need for better support for non-cricket sports in India.

Keshav Mohta

17-year old Keshav Mohta is a Grade 12 student at DAIS. He has been working with robots since he was 10 years old, participating in numerous national and international competitions. Keshav is the captain of the school’s robotics team, and an international World Champion in robotics at the WRO. He is a technology enthusiast and aspires to eventually build a career around cutting-edge technology. Apart from robotics, Keshav is also involved in various school activities like the annual magazine INSIGNIA, the Student Council and DAIMUN.

Rahul Gupta

Founder & Managing Partner of ValuAble
Rahul Gupta is the managing partner of ValuAble, a $100M venture debt fund aimed at generating economic value through diverse investments and cutting-edge technologies. Despite severe visual impairments and partial hearing loss, Rahul has achieved immense professional success, being recognized on the Business World Disrupt 40Under40 list. Before founding ValuAble, he became one of the youngest Senior Vice Presidents in a top Indian private bank and the first leader with severe visual impairments in the banking sector. Rahul, also an avid reader and blogger, shares stories of resilience, hoping to inspire others.
